Location data may become more decentralized as the 9-1-1 industry evolves. The need to ensure that this data has the integrity and quality required for successful call processing is paramount. DataNexus provides the functionality to validate subscriber data and to successfully route a 9-1-1 call based on location.

The content of DataNexus is built by correlating postal, Master Street Address Guide (MSAG) and GIS data. A majority of this is automated using DataNexus' correlation engine. Further refinement of the data is accomplished through an intuitive web- based user interface. This allows the 9-1-1 authority to maintain and control the integrity of the subscriber data.

DataNexus is designed to seamlessly integrate the current needs of public safety and emergency response with the evolving technologies of 9-1-1 Next Generation functions, interfaces and protocols by incorporating by way of facilitating a migration mechanism of both data and business processes, making the transition for consumers and users of the 9-1-1 services alike a locally flexible, yet controlled evolution. This includes, but is not limited to, current and future versions of location validation, emergency call routing as well as location based call routing.

Information maintained in DataNexus is presented via an easy-to-understand web or browser-based user interface, facilitating data management by way of privileged access or comprehensive built-in and auditing tools.
